| Question: | Can users download files from server to Local Protected Directory when they are out of office? |

| Answer: | If users want to download files from server when they are out of office, definitely they must be able to connect to the server. For example, users can connect to server through Virtual Private Network (VPN). For accessing Protected information, Curtain Client must be installed in the users' workstations or notebooks. It is just the same as accessing Protected share folder in office environment.
If users are allowed to use Protected files in offline mode, they can download files from server to Local Protected Directory before going out for meeting or business trip. If some files are needed suddenly and they cannot connect to corporate network at that moment, users can ask colleagues to send encrypted files to them by email. The encrypted files can be decrypted in Local Protected Directory. Users can use the files under Curtain Protection. Please refer to "Encrypt Out" function for detail information (FAQ 00046). |
