Question:

What is "Send to" ?

 
 
Answer:Use the "Send to" feature in the Curtain e-locker client to quickly create shortcuts for folders or files and protected program shortcuts in the protected area.

Creating "Folder/File" shortcuts:

1. Open the Curtain e-locker client, access to the protected area, select any "folder" or "file", then right click and select the "Send to > Create Desktop Shortcut" option from the pop up menu.

2. Check the desktop and double click the shortcut to open it in the Curtain e-locker client.

Creating "Protected Application" shortcuts:

1. Open the Curtain e-locker client, access to the protected area, select any "file", then right click and select the "Send to > Create Protected Application Shortcut" option from the pop up menu.

2. A "Create Shortcut" window will pop up, where you can modify the corresponding parameters, then click the "Create" button.

  • Application: This field allows users to select the program for which installed in local PC. For example, the user selected "Adobe Reader DC 2024".
  • Location: This field shows where the shortcut will be placed. For example, the shortcut will be placed in "C:\Users\Admin\Desktop".
  • Name: This field allows users to rename the shortcut. For example, the shortcut is named "Secure Adobe Reader 2024 - Shortcut".
  • Start In: Optional, This field may be used to specify where the shortcut starts or references. For example, it is set to "L:\123".

3. Check the desktop and double click the shortcut to open the controlled program.
