| Question: | If IP address or hostname of user's workstation has been changed, does it affect Curtain e-locker?

| Answer: | No, changing IP address or hostname of user's workstation does not affect operation of Curtain e-locker.
Some companies may use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to assign IP address of users' workstations. Moreover, some users may have rights to change hostname of their workstations. Don't worry. It does not affect Curtain e-locker. When Curtain Client has been installed on user's workstation, a unique token will be generated for that workstation. This unique token is used for communication between Curtain Admin and Curtain Client of that workstation. Therefore, control policy for the workstation will not be affected even when IP address/hostname is changed.
P.S. If "Exception Rule" is being used, IP address of user's workstation should not be changed. For Exception Rule, please refer to
