Question:

Can workstations without Curtain Client access Protected server resource (e.g. Protected share folder)?

 
 
Answer:In default settings, workstations without Curtain Client cannot access Protected server resource (e.g. Protected share folder, Protected web application, etc). Workstations must have Curtain Client, in order to access Protected server resource.

P.S. Administrators can allow some workstations accessing Protected server resource without Curtain Protection in two ways:
1. Set Protection Rule in Curtain Server Plug-in (allow some PCs to bypass Curtain Protection in server-level). For Exception Rule, please refer to :

2. Create another Share in Windows File Server and set Share Exception in Curtain Admin (allow some users to bypass Curtain Protection in folder-level). For Share Exception, please refer to:
