Question: | How to create shortcut for opening a protected folder? |
  | |
Answer: | There are two types of shortcut for opening a protected folder:
(Method 1) Shortcut of Curtain Client and open a protected folder when run
(Method 2) Shortcut of Secure Windows Explorer and open a protected folder when run
Method 1 - Shortcut of Curtain Client and open a protected folder when run:
1. In Curtain Client, select the folder that the user needs to create for quick access. Then right click and select "Copy as Document Link".
2. On the desktop, right click > New > Shortcut
3. In the pop-up dialog box, paste the document link and click the "Next" button.
4. Enter a name for the shortcut, such as the name of the shared folder you need to access, and click the Finish button.
5. Done. User can double-click this shortcut and Curtain Client will be launched with specified protected folder.
Method 2 - Shortcut of Secure Windows Explorer and open a protected folder when run (for detailed steps, please refer to FAQ 00216):
Create a shortcut for Windows Explorer and add a folder path in Command Line. When double-click the shortcut, Protected Windows Explorer will be launched and point to the specified folder. If file path is added in Command Line (e.g. C:\ProtDir\David\123.pdf), the specified file will be opened in Curtain protected mode when double-click the shortcut.
